The Caged Bird

When the bird was about to fly, her wings were clipped away.
And so the package of innovations and ideas were shipped away.

She was caged in a room full of insecurities and fears,
Where the signs of hope and faith weren't even near.

She was afraid of falling and didn't even tried.
She needed a push, a rising tide.
She crawled in the cage all night long.
But she dreamt of the sky, somewhere she belonged.

One day the sun shone so bright.
Giving her the wings, strength, and might.
She freed herself to rise above the sky.
Breaking all the shackles as she was meant to fly.
